Henry Cavill is almost an unequivocal advocate, lover, and supporter of the gaming and high fantasy world, and if that doesn’t already make him the superhero of the 21st-century generation, what else does? The British actor from the Channel Islands, who made his way into our collective hearts with DC’s Superman and Geralt in the epic fantasy series on Netflix has now padded his way over to Amazon.
In the meanwhile, the audience hangs on to every morsel of information that can be found that relates to the daily proceedings of the actor, ranging from what projects he’s working on to which shows he binge-watched over the summer.

Henry Cavill Names One of the Greatest Shows on Netflix
No, it is not The Witcher – Henry Cavill may be too talented for his own good but he is equally humble and grounded. So naming one’s own show as the most outstanding project to exist is a bit too vain for the likes of Cavill. However, the actor does have experience working with great showrunners, auteurs, and directors of our generation, and as such, the variety and extent of his knowledge on issues to do with his chosen profession are vast and multi-dimensional.
During one particular interview with BBC Radio 1’s Ali Plumb, Cavill was introduced to the Emmy-nominated animated series, Arcane: League of Legends. Prior to coming to the subject of Arcane, the pair were unabashedly gushing over the best novels and video games to exist to date, and sadly, the League of Legends adaptation did not make it on his radar. The next time the pair met, Cavill had more than just a couple of words to say about the series.
Henry Cavill Lost Sleep Over How Good Netflix’s Arcane Is
It’s not every day that the almost literal Superman of our generation decides to bestow his blessings on one show in particular. Speaking about the fantastical show and its wide-ranging grasp over the literature and mythology of the video game and how well it was adapted onto the screen in the span of 9 episodes, Henry Cavill said he simply could not stop watching it.
I’m so glad you told me, because when you said it, I went home immediately, and I was like, ‘Right, Natalie, I was told by this guy at work that I should watch Arcane.’ I couldn’t stop watching it, and it got really late, and Natalie was like, ‘Right, we should probably go to bed,’ and I was like, ‘No, no, no, no, nope, gotta keep on watching.’ She went, ‘Yeah, okay, I’m with you, we should definitely keep on watching.’ It’s amazing, and I’m very thankful that you introduced me to that, because I may have missed it otherwise.
Arcane: League of Legends voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell, Kevin Alejandro, and Harry Lloyd among others went on to nab four Emmys in 2022, including Outstanding Animated Program. The series rates an incredulous 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and Season 2 is currently in development.
Arcane: League of Legends is available for streaming on Netflix.
