Even though greater than most, Henry Cavill’s net worth is not as astounding as it may seem when compared to fellow contemporary Dwayne Johnson. The latter holds a staggering worth valued at $800 million while Cavill’s stands at a more moderate $40 million. And despite the difference, both actors have come to be greatly loved by the theatregoing audience after building up an impressive, if not daunting, filmography in the past decade. Among those lies some of the most contentious vehicles Hollywood has seen recently, including Cavill’s DCEU arc as Superman and The Witcher property at Netflix.
Henry Cavill Outweighs The Rock in One Aspect: Salary
Although the megastardom of Dwayne Johnson is definitely a worthy rival to the fanfare surrounding Henry Cavill, in one aspect, the latter takes the cake in their faux battle for the title of ‘who’s the worthiest of them all.’ In 2019, the Brit’s salary from The Witcher Season 1 which amounted to $400,000 per episode was radically increased to $1 million per episode for his appearance in Season 2. The actor’s salary for his latest and last appearance as the White Wolf in the beloved series’ upcoming third season has not yet been disclosed.
Cavill’s earnings stand in the face of The Rock’s salary from his HBO series, Ballers, for which he was paid $650,000 per episode, later scaled up to $700,000. In the battle for the small screens, Henry Cavill has definitively set his mark and record straight by claiming the winning title against his DCEU counterpart and nemesis, Dwayne Johnson.
Henry Cavill Bows Out From Netflix For Amazon Deal
In what has been deemed a momentous year in the history of streaming and production in Hollywood, 2022 marked a tectonic shift that rocked the foundations of this industry to the core. The scandal comprised two of the biggest productions: the centurion goliath that is Warner Bros. and the other, Netflix, born at the turn of the new century to satisfy the temperamentally restless and constantly on-the-move demography of the modern era.
In both, Henry Cavill had played an integral role, contributing just as much to the franchises’ recent progress over the last ten years as the productions did in return for his meteorically rising career. With Superman and Geralt of Rivia, Henry Cavill not only became a household name but immensely beloved for his iconic take and renditions of both these literary and canonically established characters.
In the aftermath of his exit from the projects, Cavill now opts for a multi-year deal with Amazon Studios for an adaptation of the miniature tabletop game, Warhammer, which is being produced as a live-action series. Cavill will star as the lead and serve as the executive producer of Warhammer 40K.
The Witcher is available for streaming on Netflix with Season 3 arriving in the Summer of 2023. Ballers is currently streaming on Max.
