News broke today that David Harbour, known for his roles in Hellboy and Stranger Things, would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a yet to be announced role in Black Widow. Harbour has most recently became famous for his role in Netflix’s series Stranger Things, but also boasts an impressive career in films such as War of the Worlds, Brokeback Mountain, and The Equalizer.
It has also recently been rumored that Rachel Weisz and Emma Watson have been in talks for undisclosed roles. At this point very little is known about the movie besides that Scarlett Johansson would be reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow. Other Marvel films have noted possible storylines that could come up in the Black Widow movie, most notably her time in Budapest. Budapest has now been mentioned by multiple characters over the years including Nick Fury and Hawkeye, but at this point there has been no news on them being a part of this film. Black Widow has also mentioned a run in with Winter Solider himself taking place years before the film, Captain America: The Winter Solider.
The film is being directed by Cate Shortland, who most recently directed Lore, which centered around siblings dealing with the Nazi invasion of Germany.

Avengers: Infinity War is now on Digital and Blu-ray, while Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
