Grand Theft Auto, or GTA, is one of the most popular and financially successful gaming franchises in the world, in spite of not seeing a new release in several years. Players have had to spend their time with the still excellent GTA V, not to mention GTA Online, which has been getting regular content updates from developer Rockstar. Fans of the series are eager to hear more about the next game, whether it be official communication from Rockstar, leaks, or rumors.
It is through leaks and rumors that players have had to subsist since Rockstar hasn’t revealed much about the game themselves. No doubt they will share more information once they feel they are ready, but in the meantime, it is leaks and rumors that hold sway. These range from the game’s gigantic budget to new features implemented in the gameplay, and it is the latest leak that has fans expressing their disbelief.
What does the latest GTA 6 leak claim?
The latest GTA 6 leak on X (formerly Twitter) claims that the game has an install size of a whopping 750 GB, which is even higher than Microsoft’s Flight Simulator which comes in at 190 GB in comparison. Furthermore, the leak also claims that players will be able to enjoy around four hundred hours of content since the game is set across multiple cities.
Naturally, players took this with a huge grain of salt for many reasons, starting from their first impressions as to how high the figure sounds.
Next, some players said that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S won’t be able to store this game at all without expanding their SSDs. The PlayStation 5, for instance, only has a storage space of around 667 GB for the default console available.
It is also worth mentioning that many players questioned the credibility of the source of the news given how ridiculous the figure sounded to them, but many seemed to think four hundred hours of content sounds believable enough.
Here are some previous GTA 6 leaks and rumors
The install size is far from the only leak for GTA 6, with there being several over the years. One of the alleged leaks claims that the game will have a lot of varying weather scenarios such as storms and hurricanes. Blizzards are seemingly ruled out since the game is said to be set in Vice City, which takes inspiration from Miami in Florida.
Apart from that, GTA 6 is said to borrow features from another open-world masterpiece created by Rockstar, namely Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). These features include a comprehensive aging system along with a facial hair and beard growth system.
