Amber Heard vs Johnny Depp, the most infamous trial possibly in the history of Hollywood. The trial was a subject of talk and a breeding ground of many controversies, as both parties from the defamation case quickly became associated with domestic violence and the use of narcotics. The trial between the ex-couple gathered heavy media attention, and while Depp won the case, it took a massive toll on the lives of both actors.
Since the decision led to her defeat in the trial, Heard was forced to pay a huge sum of money as a form of compensation to Johnny Depp. It also brought a lot of negative attention to her, affecting her career in Hollywood. The Rum Diary actress has been away from the limelight for quite some time, and it looks like she is in no hurry to return to work in front of the camera.
Where is Amber Heard?
After her humiliating defeat in the trial, the actress vanished from the scene, and it was reported that Amber Heard was last seen on the Spanish islands of Palma de Mallorca with her daughter, Oonagh Paige, and girlfriend Bianca Butti.
Recently, a report from Alison Boshoff of Daily Mail claimed that “Heard has quit Hollywood and quietly relocated to Spain with her young daughter Oonagh.” And a friend of the actress shared that Heard is in Spain raising her daughter away from Hollywood, and she is in no hurry to make her return to the big screen.
“She’s bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise. ‘I don’t think she is in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood, but she will probably come back when the time is right, for the right project.”
The Danish Girl actress lost a number of projects after her defeat in the trial against Johnny Depp, getting kicked out from all her upcoming projects. Moreover, it was rumored that DC has replaced the Drive Angry actress, however, that is not true as fans will see her in the upcoming Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom.
Amber Heard Returns in Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom
While the fans of the actress are heartbroken because they will not see her on the big screen for an untold period of time, they can rejoice because, during ComicCon 2023, Warner Bros. decided to present the trailer of the highly anticipated Aquaman 2 to the audience present at the festival. In the trailer, fans saw Jason Momoa reprising his role of Aquaman, who will be facing Black Manta in the upcoming sequel.
During the sequel, fans also saw the 3 Days to Kill actress making a brief appearance as Mera. Earlier, Deadline reported that the actress will be making a cameo during a battle scene, hence it can be assumed that she will be shown during the climax of the film. While Warner Bros. did not replace the actress, it looks like they have limited her screen time to avoid criticism from a mass audience.
