Dwayne Johnson is a megastar, but this star is also a massive fan of the Hollywood star Clint Eastwood. He recalled in an interview with Contact Music, that he was completely taken aback when he saw Clint Eastwood face to face at the Oscars event. Johnson said,
“We were at the Oscars and I was doing red carpet and when I was done with an interview, I turn around and there he is, he’s walking in with his wife… I was like, ‘Oh man, this is it.’ And then I froze. I completely froze. I completely froze. I couldn’t pull the trigger… I looked at his wife; she smiled, I smiled at her… I didn’t meet him.”
It was quite surprising for an actor with such a strong public persona, he was just too starstruck and scared to approach his idol.

Dwayne Johnson’s admiration for Clint Eastwood runs deep. The Jumanji star has been a fan of the actor-turned-filmmaker since childhood.
Dwayne Johnson has been a fan of A Fistful of Dollars actor turned filmmaker since childhood. He shared,
“Clint has always been an inspiration of mine. As a matter of fact, Clint has always been my inspiration as an actor…With Clint, not only has he been my inspiration, (but he’s) my one and only man-crush.”
The Red Notice star had once written him a letter to express his admiration for the actor.
“I wrote him a letter recently. He’s been such an inspiration to me (and) I just wanted to take the time to write him a letter…I know that he received it, and in the letter, it wasn’t, ‘Hey, here’s my number, please call me’, it was, ‘I want you to know that you’re my inspiration’, that was it.”
Dwayne Johnson also channeled Clint Eastwood in one of his lesser-known movies, Faster in 2010. In the movie, he played the role of an ex-con who wanted to avenge the death of his brother. In an interview with MTV News, Johnson shared that he took inspiration from other movies and actors for his role including Eastwood.
