At the 95th Academy Awards, Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield were paired together, much to the internet’s surprise. As they presented an award together, their witty repartee had viewers wondering whether there was more to their relationship than meets the eye.
Florence Pugh, however, recently admitted on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that the whole thing was an accident and not a preplanned event.
The Unplanned Viral Moment
Florence Pugh revealed that she had just met Garfield during rehearsals the day before the Oscars. Despite only knowing each other briefly, they had a lot of fun conversing and teasing one other.
“I met him the day before in rehearsals and we instantly got along. I was talking the p**s out of him and he loved it. He was talking the p**s out of me and I loved it. It was great.”

If that doesn’t pique your interest in their forthcoming endeavor, we don’t know what will. Pugh also said that the pair’s appearance at the Oscars was coincidental rather than calculated to drum up interest in their new movie.
“You know what’s crazy they didn’t know that we were doing a movie together. I don’t think they did. This was a bit of an accident,”
Although production on the film, titled We Live in Time, is just getting started, fans are already excited to witness these two amazing actors on the screen.
What We Know About We Live in Time
There isn’t much information about the film itself at this time, but we know that Scarlett Johansson will serve as a producer, and Gia Coppola will direct. The film is being billed as a drama about a diverse collection of individuals struggling to find their footing in a rapidly evolving world. With the acting abilities of Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield, the picture has a good chance of being a hit.
Florence Pugh has been busy promoting her new film A Good Person, written by her ex-boyfriend Zach Braff, and her future collaboration opposite Andrew Garfield. While acting in the film, Pugh tried her hand at singing for the first time. She even sang a song she’d written for her role. This is the first time Pugh has created music for a fictional character and also sang in character.
The actress talks about her experience being “so much fun.”
“It was just a joy. It was so much fun. What’s cool is it’s the first time I have actually ever written a song for a character and performed a song as the character as well.”
