Dwayne Johnson considers his late father as his childhood hero

Recently the Black Adam star once again expressed his love for his father by calling him The Rock’s childhood hero while replying to a wholesome Twitter post, involving a collage of The Rock and his dad. Even though Dwayne Johnson might not have shared the most wholesome relationship with his father Rocky Johnson, following his recent tweet it seems that the actor’s love for his father is still unfazed.

Although The Rock and his father did share a complicated relationship, the Black Adam star still loved him dearly and the news of Rocky Johnson’s passing did break the actor. Following his father’s death, the Black Adam star was devasted for not being there by his dad’s side during his final moments.

Dwayne Johnson regrets not being there with his father in his final moments

Even though The Rock’s father was strict with the actor during his childhood and didn’t share the strongest bond, Johnson still admires his father for all the lessons the actor learned from him. But when Rocky Johnson suddenly passed away at the age of 75 due to a massive heart attack, Dwayne Johnson was devasted by the news and regretted not being there in his final moments.

Considering that he never got to say goodbye to his father, the actor stated that he would have given, “anything right now to give him a big ole hug and a big ole kiss before he crossed over and just say thank you and I love you and I respect you.”

But even though the actor wasn’t able to share his Goodbyes with his childhood hero, the actor expressed that his lessons will always stick with him. And even though he had a complicated relationship with his father, Rocky Johnson was one of the reasons behind his colossal success.
