After performing in a mega-hit solo superhero movie, Captain Marvel, Brie Larson further made a character appearance in Avengers: Endgame. However, apart from being a dominant part of MCU for years, the actress previously formed a reputation following her Oscar-winning appearance in her critically-acclaimed movie, Room.

Sharing the screen with infamous celebrities, Larson developed a strong friendship with a few. Following her famous friendship with Samuel L Jackson, the actress befriended another MCU actor, Michael B Jordan.

Following the 2019 legal drama Just Mercy, fueled by powerful performances from Brie Larson and Michael B Jordan, the movie served as the face of obvious racial injustice. Further, appearing in the PG-13 rated solid courtroom drama, the co-stars developed a strong friendship apart from their working connection, which later became a family-like bond.

Sitting for an interview, Brie Larson spoke about her friendship with Michael B Jordan and mentioned how they had been friends years before sharing the screen for Just Mercy. However, claiming that the movie strengthened their bond, Larson mentioned how she considers Jordan as family. “Michael has always felt a little like family because, when we were releasing Short Term 12, his film Fruitvale Station was coming out at that same time,” Larson shared.

I’m so privileged to have had the opportunity to share this experience with him, also because of who Michael is. He stands in real life for these issues that we’re depicting onscreen, and he is an incredibly compassionate and caring person who wanted to do things that had never been done before with this film.”

Further, discussing Michael B Jordan’s supportive nature, the actress stated, “we were paired a lot together and were super-supportive of each other’s projects”. Mentioning how hard it is to find a friendship so special, Larson mentioned cherishing their rapport. She even mentioned how Just Mercy delivered a message of compassion and therefore became turning points in their respective careers.
