Mike Tyson steps in between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone as the legendary duo of the Hollywood action genre set off for new adventures once more. While Schwarzenegger makes a definitive statement by expanding his acting portfolio with his debut in the series FUBAR, Stallone on the other hand, carries forward with the legacy of Expendables, as the fourth installment of the beloved film series gears up for the premiere.
Arnold Schwarzenegger v Sly Stallone: Mike Tyson Weighs In
While the question has raged and burned on for decades among the crowds of Hollywood and boxing, the matter never reached a resolution in determining who would actually win if Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone went toe to toe (or fist to fist, to be more specific). Now, it seems the world has found an answer as the legendary boxer Mike Tyson has given his verdict on a hypothetical fight between the two Hollywood legends.
“Stallone really fought people before, he really actually boxes. I don’t know if Arnold actually fought before, but that should be an interesting match.”

Currently, Sylvester Stallone is moving forward with the fourth film in the Expendables franchise while Schwarzenegger remains resolutely determined to not return as one of its original cast members. Instead, Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbara star alongside each other in the Netflix series Fubar as a father-daughter CIA duo who go on high-stakes missions together while navigating through their rocky and strained relationship.
The Influence of Sylvester Stallone on Hollywood Action
The world of bodybuilding, action, boxing, and entertainment merged in the late 70s and 80s when Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone made their mark in Hollywood in iconic, unforgettable movie roles. While Schwarzenegger marched onto the screens as the Terminator, Stallone not only wrote his first screenplay and starred in the subsequent film but also took home his first Oscar for his debut film, Rocky. However, despite the similarities between the pair, one significant difference in their background separated the two rising stars and rivals.

Stallone was infamous for his boxing career before he turned his attention toward Hollywood. Although Rocky Balboa was inspired by the story of Chuck Wepner, a boxer who exchanged hooks and punches with Muhammad Ali and lost, the film series has grown to be somewhat composed as a biographical epic of Stallone’s own life and struggle to make it big in the world of boxing. His real experience in the sport gave him an edge that no accomplished actor could bring to the table.
Filmed in under a month and with a paltry $1 million budget, Rocky became the sleeper hit of 1976 and went on to churn out one of the greatest franchises of all time. Its latest threequel in the Creed spin-off series fetched $274.5 million at the worldwide box office earnings against a budget of $75 million.
