According to sources close to the actor, it seems that due to the recent Oscar snub that Cruise felt was avoidable, he has been trying to make some friends in Hollywood. Although he is trying his best, insiders reveal that the actor has also been avoiding public life and even has several high-level tactics that he uses to stay under the radar of the public eye.

“He’s charming the h—- out of everyone at all the industry events, but he’s hard to pin down after the party’s over. Even his comings and goings are kept secret. When in Los Angeles, he divides his time between a Bel-Air residence and a Scientology base in the desert, traveling by helicopters he usually pilots himself so he can stay under the radar,”

The insider further continued that Cruise is aware of the local dealings and that he knows which talks can harm him.

“Tom knows anything he says can bite him in the butt, but he also likes the mystery of being inaccessible. In social situations, he swoops in to chat and then leaves in a flash.”

It’s not all however only in Hollywood as Cruise still has ties to the Church of Scientology. According to the insider, Tom Cruise does not trust anyone outside the Scientology clique.

Back in the early 2000s, the actor was very vocal about his love and adoration for the Church of Scientology. Although the controversies died down in the latter years, his alleged ties with the Church of Scientology have yet not gone.

“He might have a lot of people throw themselves at him, but he’s skeptical of anyone outside his Scientology clique, and an Oscar, if Top Gun wins, won’t change that.”

The source also stated that according to Tom Cruise, the snub was also Brad Pitt’s fault.

“It stinks that Brad, once again, seems to have milked his relationship with the foreign journalists at the Globes to get his own movie — which many consider way inferior to Top Gun — a ton of nods. As far as Tom’s concerned, this snub is all Brad’s fault!”

The actor is currently busy shooting his iconic franchise Mission: Impossible as Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is set to release on 14 July, 2023.
