During an interview with Access Hollywood, Michael Douglas said that even though he had very less expectations from the Transformers star, Shia LeBeouf he came in clutch for the movie Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
“Shia, honestly, we were all not sure about whether he had the chops. As you remember from the first, Charlie Sheen carried the movie, Gordon Gekko had very colorful parts, but it was not every scene. He knocked it out of the park. I’m so proud of him, he just kicked butt.”
Although the movie had some real talents and famous celebrities, all of them failed to take the spotlight as the young rookie snatched the opportunity to shine. The movie did receive great praise from many but it had a moderate run at the box office with $134.7 million collected over a budget of $70 million.
