Even during the filming of the live-action, Taz Skylar, the portrayer of Sanji Vinsmoke demonstrates a very heart-warming scene towards Iñaki Godoy, the portrayer of Luffy.
Taz Skylar’s Selfless Act for Iñaki Godoy Proves he Was Born to Play Sanji
While the live-action was being filmed, Taz Skylar spent some time assisting his co-star Iñaki Godoy with his scene-setting as he was having trouble with a particularly challenging sequence. This deed of compassion and generosity demonstrates Skylar’s genuine enthusiasm for the One Piece project and his dedication to supporting his co-stars. Additionally, it demonstrates his ability to work well with others and his willingness to go above and beyond to improve the program.
During an interview with The Hook via X, director Emma Sullivan shared how loving and caring Skylar was towards his peers, especially towards Godey. She shared,
“Iñaki was having to do all these stuff in the tank when he eats the devil fruit and he can’t swim. And he was very very cold. And he’s a skinny kid. And Taz who is just lovely, he just stripped off and got into the tank with him just so he was cold beside him. He’s that kind of person who’s just like, ‘I’m gonna be with you through this experience’.”

Skylar’s selfless act is just one more reason why he is the perfect person to play Sanji. One Piece Live-Action Has Been Renewed For a Second Season
A second season of the One Piece live-action series has been announced. Just a few weeks after the first season’s Netflix debut, the news was made official. Fans were quite happy to hear that it had been renewed as most of them wanted to continue following the exploits of the Straw Hat Pirates. The first season swiftly rose to the top of Netflix’s most-watched series after receiving plaudits for its acting, narrative, visual effects, and overall commitment to the original material.
It’s anticipated, though not confirmed, that the second season will continue where the first season left off, with Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates exploring the Grand Line in quest of One Piece. New characters and settings from the manga and anime series are also being anticipated. Currently, the second season’s release date has not yet been set.
