Dwayne Johnson has enjoyed a very successful wrestling and acting career. After winning several wrestling championships, he entered the world of entertainment and established himself as one of the biggest actors in the industry. While he has received an immense amount of love and support from his fans, there have been instances when these fans took the responsibility to remind the actor of the right and wrong.
Something similar followed after the American Tank Division revealed a tank named after him, and the wrestler-turned-actor took to his Instagram to share the honor with his fans. However, it did not go well with many, leading him to lose thousands of followers on social media.
Dwayne Johnson Honored With a Tank Named After Him
Dwayne Johnson is a name that prevails from WWE to Hollywood. The actor does not need to be introduced and is also known for being polite and humble while meeting his fans. He also shared regular updates with his fans and followers on social media.
The Rock did the same after the American Tank Division honored the actor by naming a tank after him. It surely was a huge thing for the actor, and he decided to share the news with his fans on Instagram. He shared a picture of the tank with a caption saying,
“I’m sending a salute of respect & gratitude to the Blackhawk Squadron 🇺🇸 1st Armored Division for the honor of naming their tank (the most advanced in the world) Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.”

Further mentioning a few more lines about the tank, he concluded the caption with a small thank-you note, saying, “Thank you all for your service.” And some of his followers and fans were able to spot the little ego boost in his post and decided to unfollow him, claiming that he had a “pro-war” mindset.
Dwayne Johnson’s Post Made Him Lose Thousands of Followers
While Dwayne Johnson happily shared and expressed his gratitude for the honor of naming the “Heavy duty, bad a*s, sexy AF and built to take care of business” tank after him, it was met with a mixed reaction on social media.
Some of his fans praised the actor for having the honor and congratulated him. However, many of them also claimed that the post shows the “true colors” of the Black Adam star, as they stated that they are not interested in following anyone “who is pro-war.”
It led the actor to reportedly lose thousands of followers. However, despite the backlash and the falling follower count on Instagram, many supported the Jumanji star, saying that they do not believe having something named after a person is disrespectful.
