While promoting the Season 2 of the popular Netflix show The Witcher, Henry Cavill revealed how his dog is not just his companion but also his support system. He also brought his dog along during the interview and spoke about how his dog saved him many a time.

“He really is my best friend. We go everywhere together. He’s eight now and he has saved my emotional, psychological bacon plenty of times.”

The breed type of his dog is American Akita and he adopted him when he was just ten weeks old. In the interview, he also mentioned about his “incredibly close bond” with his pet. Cavill also spoke about how he trained his dog to be.

“And as a precaution, I’ve trained Kal to be pretend to be a taxidermied dog, so that he can burst into life in the even of a tricky question.”

It’s undeniable, that dogs have always been loyal and always give out immense love to their beloved humans.

During his time at the Netflix show set, he used to bring his dog as well. In an interview with the news outlet People, Cavill revealed that Kal spent most of the time on the trailer.

“Because when he can see me, but he can’t get to me, he tends to start making a lot of noise. We didn’t want him running in halfway through a scene or a sword fight especially, because he would be taking people down. But he was always there.”
