Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation case took the internet by storm as everyone witnessed the court proceedings on their screens. The duo first met during the shoot of their movie The Rum Diary in 2011. The couple painted the town red with their whirlwind romance and finally tied the knot in 2015. But soon after, Heard filed for divorce in 2016, on allegations of domestic violence against Depp. The Aquaman actress and Johnny Depp threw numerous allegations against each other during the legal proceedings.
Johnny Depp stated on record that his ex-wife Amber Heard allegedly cheated on him several times while they were married. Pictures of Amber Heard and Elon Musk getting cozy in an elevator went viral on social media. The City of Lies fame also had objections to Heard’s relationship with Cara Delevingne.
Johnny Depp’s dislike for Cara Delevingne and Amber Heard’s bond
Johnny Depp shared during the defamation trial that he was always doubtful of Heard’s relationship with Cara Delevingne, and blamed the English model for breaking up their marriage.
A source shared in 2016,
“Amber’s friendship with Cara, which grew closer and closer over time, brought about the beginning of the end of her marriage to Johnny. Amber always made her bisexual tendencies quite obvious. But that would spark furious rows with Johnny, who hated how indiscreet she was being.”
As per reports, Depp disliked Cara Delevingne and found her very obnoxious. The source further stated,
“It didn’t help that Johnny couldn’t stand Cara. He found her obnoxious and disrespectful and would ask his staff to warn him when she was going to be around. He didn’t like quite a few of Amber’s friends, but he took a particular dislike to Cara. It was the friendship with her that really started to drive him insane.”
A month after Depp won the trial, a video of Amber Heard kissing Cara Delevingne was released on social media.

Johnny Depp’s allegations against Cara Delevingne
For the uninitiated, Johnny Depp sued his ex-wife Heard on counts of defamation over an op-ed she wrote and published in the Washington Post in 2018. In the post, the Never Back Down actor called herself a survivor of domestic abuse. After a month-long trial, the jury ruled in favor of Johnny Depp. Amber Heard was ordered to pay $10.35 million in damages to her ex-husband.
During the defamation trial, Johnny Depp claimed that Amber Heard had a threesome with business magnate Elon Musk and model Cara Delevingne. The model is bisexual and has reportedly dated Ashley Benson, Michelle Rodriguez, Harry Styles, and more. Delevingne never openly accepted her relationship with Heard, however, pictures of them kissing proved the claims.
Amber Heard denied the allegations, and the SpaceX CEO also scoffed at those rumors. He stated that he is only friends with the model, and she could also confirm it.
Amber Heard will be seen next in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom as Mera, releasing in theatres on 20th December 2023. Johnny Depp will feature in a French biopic that will stream on Netflix, called La Favorite.
