Tom Cruise once saved a woman from getting robbed of a great amount of jewelry. The incident took place right outside the actor’s home in Regent’s Park. Rita Simmonds was the victim of the robbery and was even threatened to be killed by the two men. Her two-year-old daughter was in the back seat of her car watching the entire scenario take place.
“Tom was brilliant. He rushed down the road with his bodyguards and chased the attackers away.”
The robbers screamed at her to give her jewelry else she would be killed while they kept tugging at the ornaments on her body. The estimated worth of the jewelry had been $153,000. As she cried for help, the person who incidentally heard her was none other than Tom Cruise. He rushed out of his apartment with his bodyguards right behind him. They managed to chase the robbers away, saving the woman’s life and from her precious belongings being taken away.
Tom Cruise’s Need To Help People Is Not Just For The Sake Of PR
There can often be moments when fans hear about Tom Cruise and how he saved someone or helped another person. Many might think it to be just a persona to keep his reputation intact in front of the media. However, that is far from true. Even when an incident comes to light, neither Cruise nor his PR team chooses to comment on it because of how personal that side of him is.
