Popular for starring as Peggy Carter in the MCU, Hayley Atwell is now joining the action star Tom Cruise in the upcoming Mission Impossible film. The actress is playing a character named Grace in the action franchise, however, not much information is available about her role so far. Starring in the action franchise, she would surely be seen performing multiple action sequences alongside Cruise, and as per Atwell, she had the full support of her co-star for filming such sequences.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will continue Ethan Hunt’s journey as he and his team track down a terrifying weapon that threatens humanity. The upcoming film in the franchise is also introducing some new characters, including Hayley Atwell who has been filming alongside Tom Cruise.

There have also been claims that the two dated briefly while working on the seventh installment of the Mission Impossible franchise. During her recent interview, the Agent Carter star shared her experience working on the film and doing stunts with her co-star and alleged ex-boyfriend.

“He’s an athlete, he is a stuntman, and he’s one of the best in the world,” she said. Atwell also mentioned how Cruise is always active on the set, whether it’s the “technical side of things” or “the acting side of things.” The actress further stated that she trusts her co-star, who also served as a mentor for her.

Praising the Top Gun star, she shared how he’s aware of everything he does. “[He uses] multiple takes, different lenses, different angles, and different levels of performance,” Atwell said. She also went on to mention how Cruise supported and encouraged her to do her best as she performed her stunts.

Followed by its premiere in Rome earlier his month, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One has received quite positive reviews. The director and the cast of the film have been praised, including the Marvel star Hayley Atwell.

The Duchess actress has also shared that she has learned a lot while starring in the action spy film. She also shared how Tom Cruise encouraged her to do her best. “There was a real sense of trust from him that I had earned,” she said while describing how he put his life in her hands during some of the action sequences.

Atwell claimed that they trusted each other, and she tried her best to match her co-star’s level. She has been receiving compliments, and many have stated that the actress steals every scene she is in and even went on to say that this has become their favorite Mission Impossible film.
