Harrison Ford, the actor known for classic movies like the Indiana Jones franchise once accidentally punched Hollywood hotshot Ryan Gosling in the face. While starring together in a beloved fan-favorite franchise, Ford accidentally punched the La La Land actor.
Harrison Ford starred in the 1982 movie titled Blade Runner. The movie created sequels decades later while the lead role was given to the Barbie actor Ryan Gosling. In a hilarious interview, the countdown to the punch and the consequences were described in detail by Ford and Gosling.
When Harrison Ford Punched Ryan Gosling In The Face
Back in 2017, fan favorites Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling shared the screen together when their movie Blade Runner 2049 was released worldwide. With quite a high rating on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes, the movie was well-received by the audience.
Unlike the tone of the movie, the behind-the-scenes were hilarious. Talking about finding the former Blade Runner in the movie, Gosling and Harrison Ford were eventually bound to meet sometime in the timeline of the movie. According to an interview with GQ, their meeting did not quite go as planned.
“Ryan Gosling’s face was where it should not have been. His job was to be out of the range of the punch. My job was also to make sure that I pulled the punch. But we were moving, and the camera was moving, so I had to be aware of the angle to the camera to make the punch look good.”
Following the single punch that actually hit Gosling pretty hard in the face, Ford presented the actor with a glass of Scotch to make amends. He later revealed that he then took the entire bottle home while leaving Ryan Gosling with just the glass.
“What — did he f—ing expect the whole bottle? You know, I figured one drink would fix it. That was enough,”
As much as the punch hurt, Ryan Gosling revealed that he had his fanboy moments with the veteran actor since all the old franchises like Indiana Jones and Star Wars would come rushing to him.
Ryan Gosling Gushed Pretty Hard For Harrison Ford
On the other side of things, Ryan Gosling did not even care about the punch since he was gushing over the Star Wars actor so hard. In an interview with EW, The Notebook actor recalled the best part about working with Harrison Ford.
“You hang out with him and you realize that all those iconic moments from his films that you love are his — like ‘I love you,’ ‘I know’ from Star Wars, or shooting the guy in Indiana Jones. He’s just like that all the time. Normally I’d say there are hundreds of ways to play any scene. Unless you work with Harrison and you realize there’s only one great way and he’s already figured it out.”
With a high rating of 8/10 on IMDB and 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, Blade Runner 2049, starring Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, and, Ana de Armas is available to stream on Hulu.
