Harrison Ford has enticed fans for quite a long time with his incredible acting and action sequences that further solidified his position in the industry. With his iconic roles including Han Solo in the Star Wars franchise and titular role in the Indiana Jones franchise, he established himself as a cultural icon. Knowing that the action sequence needed to be shown as realistically as possible, he insisted that the duo must throw in some authentic punches to add “veracity to the experience.”

In the book, The Films of Harrison Ford, authors Lee Pfeiffer, Michael Lewis, and Michael D. Lewis wrote about the situation, quoting the Indiana Jones star’s thought process,

“I didn’t even think about the physicality of it. It’s all choreographed, all plotted out. The fun of it for me is it’s like an athletic endeavor. You choreograph it, you set your mind on what it is; you don’t want to hurt somebody, you want to be very sure of your moves. It’s a pleasure to perform those things for me, like playing tennis or ballet dancing.”

As per the authors, the latter was not ready to agree with the former but eventually agreed for the sake of their delivering better craft. This film became one of the iconic movies of their career with Ford recently sharing how one specific quote of this project remains close to him to date.

Not just that, he also recalled another interesting thing as he shared that the 42nd US President, Bill Clinton called him “the kick-a*s president” after watching his performance in the film. The film was both critically and commercially successful grossing $315.2 million worldwide.
