Many gamers are eagerly awaiting the release date for GTA 6, and unfortunately, due to the information from a few insiders, they will have to wait a while longer. Currently, there is going to be a very long wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 if Rockstar follows their usual pattern of announcement and release, but this may change as nothing is set in stone currently.
What information has currently been released regarding GTA 6?
Currently, there is no official news regarding an official release date in regards to GTA 6, but that doesn’t mean that many gamers and insiders haven’t attempted to piece together information to formulate a potential release date. Recently there has been a lot of randomised information has been thrown around about GTA 6, which has caused a lot of confusion on when the release date will be, but many insiders have joined together and begun to understand this information to give players a better view of when GTA 6 will release.
The first piece of information was the pattern that Rockstar releases their games in; for example, Grand Theft Auto 5 had an announcement tweet created back in 2011 on October 25th, which just had “GTA5” with a link leading to a website that showed an image of the logo for GTA 5 and a date for their first trailer which was November 2nd.
Once this trailer was released, they still didn’t show a release date for GTA 5, but it did work to create hype for the game; after almost two full years after the announcement, GTA 5 got its release and is still going to this day. Due to this, gamers have found a pattern in the releases and have determined that the release of GTA 6 could be in late 2024, and there is more information to support this.
Another piece of information that has been released by Take-Two Interactive Software CEO Strauss Zelnick is that they believe that a new game that is coming to a well-established franchise is going to help generate over $8 Billion in revenue in the fiscal year of 2025; this could mean that they expect a high revenue game to release between April 1st 2024 to April 1st 2025 which does line up with the information provided by insiders.

Is the information provided by these insiders to be trusted?
At the moment, there are a few insiders and leakers that have put information out about GTA 6 and its release, and not all can be trusted, but there are a fair few that can who have provided the main information for us to make these types of educated guesses into the release of GTA 6.
The first insider is called Chris Marx, and they brought in the idea that Rockstar tends to have a year gap between announcement and release; even though he is not as highly known as some other insiders, he has previously had good information regarding other games like; Fable, Payday 3 and Dragon’s Dogma with their announcements being a part of the recent Summer games fest which came out to be true.
The other main insider that will be mentioned is a data miner known as Tez2 who, throughout the years, has been providing constant information regarding GTA online updates well ahead of their time; due to this, they have gained themselves a highly reliable status when it comes to information regarding the GTA franchise.
Their information is that GTA 6 will have a holiday 2024 release and that sometime this year, we should be looking at an announcement to confirm their suspicions but do take this with a grain of salt as they are still not entirely sure Rockstar will stick to their regular patterns, and it could even be pushed back to early 2025.
As of now, we are still looking at speculation on when GTA 6 will release, and many gamers are unsure if it ever will, but thanks to insiders and data miners, we have gotten a closer look at what to expect in the next year, and we hope to see GTA 6 very soon. Let us know what you think about this information and the potential release period in the comments!
