DC introducing Grant Gustin as Flash was one of the best things that happened for fans as the actor justified his role on The CW series The Flash as part of the Arrowverse. His version of the Scarlet Speedster often gets compared to Ezra Miller’s character with many even speculating his entry in the DCEU movie The Flash which unfortunately didn’t happen.
Grant Gustin Joins Hands With Robert Pattinson’s Batman
Ever since Grant Gustin debuted in CW’s The Flash, fans are swooning over him with many even wanting him to get into films. It, unfortunately, couldn’t happen since Ezra Miller was one step ahead of him. However, it was nowhere near crushing fans’ dreams who decided to take things into their own hand but throwing off his perfect entrance on the big screen.
Given that Arrowverse had a crossover with Elseworlds, it is possible for Gustin’s Barry Allen to explore the universes within Elseworlds. Now, it leaves the door open for three universes at this time, one involving Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker, one with Superman & Lois’ and the last being Robert Pattinson’s Batman.
Given that 2022’s The Batman was a critical success with two sequels already announced to be released in the future, Gustin’s entry into the Batman universe is a good possibility.
Considering the same, recently, a YouTube account named, Free Boredom uploaded a video that showed Gustin’s Flash appearing alongside the Twilight star’s version of Batman. Given that Miller’s The Flash shows two superheroes working together, the fan-made version is not entirely impossible. However, the film overall ended up becoming a disappointment.
Ezra Miller’s The Flash Disappointing Box Office Performance
As to how it all started to go wrong, the answer lies in the protagonists themselves. Miller has been surrounded by strings of controversies which led to some fans boycotting the film. However, they are not entirely to blame as the film was criticized for its screenplay and visual effects.
Given that Andy Muschietti’s film struggles to garner decent box office numbers, Miller’s future in the franchise remains a mystery. Hence, it could be possible that the Glee star would make his way to the big screen.
Gustin’s The Flash is available on The CW meanwhile Miller’s The Flash is running in theatres.
