Gwyneth Paltrow is one of Hollywood’s most successful leading ladies and the perfect combination of beauty and brains. The star has carved a niche for herself, not just in commercial blockbusters but also in challenging roles as an actor. An Oscar winner for her role in Shakespeare in Love, Paltrow is also a Marvel alum having featured prominently in the MCU as Tony Stark aka Iron Man’s manager-turned- love interest, Pepper Potts.
Apart from her film choices, Gwyneth Paltrow is also known for her past relationships with co-stars who are Hollywood A-Listers. The actor formerly dated two heartthrobs, Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck. While both romances did not stand the test of time, Paltrow had some nice and spicy things to say about her ex-lovers.
Gwyneth Paltrow Rated Her Ex-Boyfriends Brad Pitt And Ben Affleck
Making an appearance on the Call My Daddy podcast, Oscar-winner Gwyneth Paltrow got candid about many aspects of her life and career while also revealing details about her previous romances. In a game titled “Brad or Ben”, Paltrow was put on the spot by host Alex Cooper to compare her two ex-lovers, Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck, whom she dated for a few years. Paltrow was an excellent sport when asked intimate questions about who was more romantic and said,
“Brad was like the sort of major chemistry, love of your life, kind of, at the time, and then Ben was, like, technically excellent. I can’t believe my daughter is listening to this!”
The Marvel star also went on to add more spice to the conversation by stating that both actors were equally good kissers. Host Alex Cooper in response to Paltrow’s honest replies gave a shout-out to Affleck’s wife Jennifer Lopez, for making the Argo star her husband.
Gwyneth Paltrow And Ben Affleck’s Relationship In A Nutshell
Hollywood stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck began dating right after the Gone Girl actor won his first Oscar for Good Will Hunting. They met at a dinner hosted by now-disgraced studio mogul Harvey Weinstein in 1997 and went on to co-star in 1998’s Shakespeare in Love and 2000’s Bounce, before taking the mutual decision to part ways. In an interview with Howard Stern, Paltrow got philosophical about the relationship and said,
“It’s interesting, I think there’s certain boyfriends where you are trying to work stuff out, right? Like, you’re trying to heal certain stuff from your childhood and he was very much a lesson in that way.”
The Iron Man actor also stated in an earlier instance that Ben Affleck was not mentally ready to commit to a girlfriend and a long-term relationship during their dating years. This was one of the main reasons that led to the couple splitting up eventually.
