Not much unlike the character, Brosnan saved fellow Hollywood A-lister and co-star Uma Thurman from an unattended speeding van hurtling towards her on the sets of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
According to the sources who spoke with the folks at The Sydney Morning Herald,
“No one was aboard the runaway van as it barrelled towards a grassy area where Uma was relaxing with cast and crew.”
“Pierce yelled, ‘Get out of the way!’” “He raced after the van, wrenched open the driver’s side door, jumped in, and slammed on the brakes.”
The runaway van crashed into trash cans, which was followed by Brosnan gaining control of the rogue vehicle and bringing it to a stop.
“Everyone scattered out of harm’s way. Pierce got kudos and hero 007 jokes from Uma. The transportation crew were in trouble for not setting the van’s emergency brake.”
