Batman & Robin star, George Clooney may have not had a vast filmography to show for himself, unlike most of his contemporaries, but however much he accomplished has been nothing short of incredible. From headlining a Steven Soderbergh trilogy to two Academy Awards to being the founder of the Clooney Foundation for Justice (that fights for individuals targeted wrongfully by oppressive governments and targets human rights abuses through the courts), there is nothing unremarkable about the 62-year-old George Clooney.
And for a man of his stature, it was only right that the crown jewel of his collection would be his palatial residence (on Lake Como, no less) that has stood witness to the many spectacular events of his life.
George Clooney’s Enthralling Lake Como Residence in Italy
With a net worth of approximately $500 million, George Clooney is already halfway to being a billionaire as of 2023. The movie star has given us numerous brilliant pieces of film such as ER (1994-2009), the Ocean’s trilogy (2001-07), Three Kings (2001), The Ides of March (2011), and Gravity (2013) had bought his first celebrity house from the Heinz (owners of the eponymous ketchup empire) in 2002 after the immediate success of Ocean’s Eleven for $7 million.
Located in the sleepy village of Laglio on the western section of Lake Como, the Clooneys not only enjoy a secluded luxury lifestyle in their home, Villa Oleandra, but host celebrities, politicians, and socialities too. Infamously, some of the namedrop public figures to have visited George Clooney’s residence are the Obamas, the entire cast of Ocean’s Twelve, Prince Harry with his wife, Meghan Markle, and Ben Affleck with Jennifer Lopez. The villa now amounts to $100 million in real estate worth.
The three-storied villa boasts 25 rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a garage that holds the movie star’s prized vintage motorcycle collection, a gym, a theatre, and a pizza room. The outdoor patios, secluded balconies, and manicured gardens which are all visible from the outside simply add to the rustic countryside charm of the property.
George Clooney’s Italian Villa Puts Wayne Manor To Shame
Bruce Wayne may have a bottomless bank account but a Hollywood celebrity with a net worth as immense as George Clooney’s comes pretty close to living a palatial life similar to the inhabitant of the fictional Wayne Manor itself. But while Wayne Manor is all doom and gloom and forlorn with only shadows to keep it company, the Villa Oleandra cannot have too many visitors. The Lake Como property, which was already breathtaking in its sprawling estate and view, also attracts hordes of fans and paparazzi in an attempt to get a close shot of the Clooney estate.

In 2010, the Hollywood A-lister grew so distraught and wary of the unwanted attention and intrusion that he considered selling the villa and moving to a more secluded area of the country. However, he later changed his mind and the local authorities sanctioned an order for those trespassing within even a 100-meter radius will be fined $600.
The Villa Oleandra also became the epicenter of George Clooney’s epic love story with his wife, Amal Clooney who was introduced to the movie star via his agent. The pair tied the knot in 2014, within a year of officially dating each other. Soon after, the Solaris actor also bought the adjacent property, Villa Margherita, thus extending his existing estate.
