This was a major surprise to those watching Gamescom 2023’s Opening Night Live as not many gamers were expecting a Little Nightmares 3 trailer to drop. Viewers were especially not expecting it to be the first trailer released right after the Starfield demonstration. However, because of this the hype will be insane for the game, with many gamers over the moon to get their hands on such a fantastic title.

When Will We Be Seeing Little Nightmares 3 Release?
After Gamescom 2023 we still do not have a set release date for Little Nightmares 3, as it is still being developed into its final stages. But we do know that they are planning the release for 2024, which is a good sign as many gamers. After seeing that trailer many will be very eager to get their hands on Little Nightmares 3, especially after Little Nightmares 2 was such a big hit.
Many gamers were very happy to view this Gamescom 2023 trailer, since back in February 2021, Tarsier, the original developer of Little Nightmares, made an announcement stating that they were no longer working on the Little Nightmares IP so they could work on bigger and better things. Many fans wondered if they would ever get a third game and now they know, but the difference is it won’t be developed by Tarsier anymore. It has been handed over to Supermassive Games who have developed such amazing games like Until Dawn, The Quarry, and The Dark Pictures Anthology.

Will Little Nightmares 3 Play Just Like the First Two Games in the Series?
From what we can see during the trailer for Little Nightmares 3, it does look to stay very faithful to its original counterparts even though it is being created by a different developer. This is a good sign as to what makes Little Nightmares such a unique and special game. In the title, you are a small person who has to hide and puzzle your way through such a large and scary world.
Just like in Little Nightmares 2, there will be two characters involved in the game, and it seems that players will need to utilise both characters to try and solve the puzzles and defeat the horrifying monsters. This was highly effective in Little Nightmares 2 and created a lot of unique and scary moments that kept players at the edge of their seats, and now it has an added choice to play in co-op to conquer the monsters that patrol NoWhere with your friends.
