Many gamers have been looking forward to Gamescom 2023, and it appears that some gamers have been more excited than some. A young man decided within the first few minutes of the main showcase starting, as Starfield is beginning its presentation, to storm onto the stage right up to the host Geoff, luckily not in a harmful manner, but he had some choice words for why he did what he did.
Why did the young man take to the stage during Gamescom 2023?
During the Starfield presentation, it began just like any other presentation until the young man in question decided to take to the stage out of nowhere, constantly rambling that all he wanted to play was Grand Theft Auto 6 and that he was hoping to see a reveal during Gamescom 2023. This caused a lot of commotion as security rushed to the stage to try and contain the young man who was right in Geoff’s face trying to talk to the crowd.
Even though this was such a shock, it did cause quite a bit of commotion throughout the room as Geoff handled the situation very well as he just kept calm and waited for security. Now this young man will most likely be in a lot of trouble and will most likely not be allowed to return to Gamescom in the future, but it was quite a shock for many, especially those who were in the room and witnessed it, to the point they were almost booing the man as he was escorted away.
Why GTA VI needs to come out so this doesn’t happen again
As the years go by, many gamers are eagerly awaiting GTA 6, and it is causing a lot of problems throughout the gaming industry like this unfortunate circumstance in which gamers feel the need to rush to the stage just to make it heard that they want to see this long-awaited game to finally release. For now, though, this young man is going to have to wait a while longer for GTA 6 and hopefully won’t pull any stunts like this again, but it may be the start of a new trend for gamers who are awaiting games that are in development hell.
So far, GTA 6 is still in development and hasn’t received a solid release date yet, which is unfortunate, but that doesn’t mean that people can create scenes like this to try and gather attention for that game, as it can cause more issues than it fixes. Luckily the young man didn’t spoil Gamescom 2023 for the rest of those who are in the theatre enjoying their experience, but it is safe to say he will not be welcome back to any future Gamescom events.
