Frustrating News For Game of Thrones Fans, Emilia Clarke Gets Brutally Honest About MCU vs GOT Franchise Comparisons

Emilia Clarke, famously known for being a pop culture phenomenon, who appeared in the infamous HBO series Game Of Thrones, came out as a fan of Marvel. Often appearing in epic franchises and big-budget projects, the actress finally made her debut in MCU’s much-anticipated television series Secret Invasion.

Appearing on the red carpet at the Secret Invasion‘s  Los Angeles premiere, Emilia Clarke spoke briefly about her truly unique experience of working with Marvel. Although in terms of scale, she has been a part of bigger franchises, Clarke mentioned being totally in love with MCU. Expressing her enthusiasm for her vibrant and exciting project, the actress gave brutally honest comparisons between MCU and GOT franchises.

Emilia Clarke Makes Her MCU Debut With Secret Invasion 

Ever since Emilia Clarke impacted her audience with her gripping performance as a lead role in HBO’s Game Of Thrones, the actress has been showered with offers from big-budget projects. Marvel being one of the greatest franchises, has been eyeing Clarke, ever since her onscreen presence broke out, following GOT.

Eventually, the Studios officially revealed Clarke’s appearance in MCU’s much-anticipated television series Secret Invasion. As Emilia Clarke never fails to deliver the best of herself, she is expected to put the same effort and hard work into Marvel’s Secret Invasion. Playing the role of G’iah, Talos’ daughter, the Me Before You actress is set to debut in MCU.

The character of G’iah already made an appearance in Captain Marvel (2019) as a small child. Thus, stepping into that character and bringing it out to fruition, Emilia Clarke appeared in the TV series, Secret Invasion, which made its debut on June 21st, on Disney+. Playing the role of a Skrull, Clarke appears in the versatile action-packed show and awaits to mesmerize her audience with her performance.

Emilia Clarke Vouches For MCU Over GOT Franchise 

Having a long history with pop culture franchises over the last decade, Emilia Clarke appeared on the red carpet event of the Los Angeles premiere of Secret Invasion on June 21st. Excited for her MCU debut in the much-anticipated television series, Clarke appeared for brief interview sessions during the premiere.

Thanking the fans of Marvel comic franchises, Emilia Clarke was quick to express her enthusiasm over such a vibrant and exciting project. She mentioned, “I’ve been a part of franchises, but there’s nothing like Marvel”. Later sitting with Yahoo‘s Kevin Polowy, during the press tour, Clarke explained her reasons for being an MCU fanatic. 

Oh my god, it’s just the best… It’s such a pedigree in its own right, it lives in its own level that is separate from everything else. It isn’t just a superhero franchise, it’s Marvel like it’s totally different” Emilia Clarke expressed.

Describing the the process of working with MCU as “amazing,”, the GOT veteran confessed how incredibly different and phenomenal her experience was. The actress later began comparing her former GOT franchise with MCU, marked by her brutal opinions. 

Game of Thrones was such a unique experience for me because we didn’t know what the hell we were doing most of the time. And then it just became this big thing and we just rode that journey all the way. This, you’re stepping in and everyone is already doing their A-game.” Emilia Clarke stated. 

Further discussing her willingness to stick around in MCU for the long term, Emilia Clarke offered her highest praise to the franchise.
