Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz aren’t having a great time making their Netflix film Back in Action. Even though Diaz came out of retirement to shoot it, the problems surrounding the project have supposedly made her want to retire again. But that’s not all.
Along with the supposed scam and bomb threat that happened on the sets, another latest issue has created problems for the production team. Foxx isn’t doing well, as he was recently hospitalized after a health scare. Many fans are speculating that the actor’s health problems could be a result of the stress he has been enduring on the sets.
Jamie Foxx Was Hospitalized Due To Health Complications
People magazine reported that the Back in Action set was temporarily shut down after Jamie Foxx was hospitalized due to a health scare. Corinne Foxx, the Oscar-winning actor’s daughter, put out an Instagram post updating fans about his situation. She assured everyone that the actor is recovering after a medical complication. However, she didn’t give any details on what the issue was. Fans are speculating that Foxx likely suffered a stroke due to filming stress.
Here’s her statement:
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
Back in Action is a highly anticipated Netflix film featuring the return of Cameron Diaz who last starred in Annie (2014), also with Foxx. Production has reportedly resumed after being halted for a short time with a stand-in for Jamie Foxx. This is the latest misfortune that’s plaguing the movie.
Back In Action Faces Scam Issues On The Sets
Previously, The Sun reported that authorities were called after some production members tried scamming Jamie Foxx out of 33,000 sterling pounds with a luxury Rolex watch. Here’s what the outlet reported:
“One staffer has been sacked, and there are investigations after someone tried to get access to £33,000 in cash from Jamie Foxx. It sounds as though they tried to offer up a Rolex watch as part of the deal but now there’s an investigation into everything going on.”
Reportedly, Foxx fired four production staff members from the film over this. An investigation was also launched by the makers of the Back in Action film. Along with this, there was allegedly a bomb scare when a World War II unexploded bomb was found on the London set when two action scenes were getting filmed.
All of this has made Cameron Diaz want to retire again. The Sun wrote, “She hates drama and confrontation. This is why she retired in the first place.” An update on Jamie Foxx’s current health status is awaited by fans. It remains to be seen how production on the film shapes up as well.
Back in Action is speculated to release in early 2024.
