Yes, you have read that correctly Forza Horizon 5 is currently in the process of adding two vehicles from the upcoming Barbie movie into their game; understandably, many fans of both Forza and Barbie love it and are very excited to get their hands on these vehicles. Even though this update is still under development it has brought a lot of attention from players and created a lot of excitement for the film itself.
What will be coming with the Barbie crossover?
For those who may not know, Forza Horizon 5 is an Xbox-exclusive racing game that has made over the past few years and done numerous different crossovers just as unusual as this; for example, they have done crossovers for the likes of Fast And Furious, James Bond and even Hot Wheels. Due to these crossovers, Forza has gotten a reputation for granting access to some interesting and good-looking cars for their players, which leads us to what cars will be coming in this crossover.
The first car that will be coming in this update will be a very iconic car that all Barbie fans know and love, her Hot-Pink Corvette EV, with some slight detail work in white; the second car that will be brought into the game is a Humvee EV Pickup which will be Silver with a streak of Pink/Purple lightning across the side of the vehicle, keep in mind both of these vehicles will be fully customisable so once they are released you will be able to make them look however you want.
When will the Barbie crossover be released, and what will it cost?
Currently, with the information at hand, the release date for this crossover is undetermined, but we can estimate as the film will be released on the 21st of July. This would suggest that the crossover will be somewhere between that time, but currently, the vehicles can be viewed in-game but, as of yet, are not accessible. Unfortunately, again at this current time, we do not know whether or not this will be a free update for all players or if it will be paid DLC, but when looking back at older DLCs like Hot Wheels, we can assume that it will most likely be a paid DLC, but one can hope that it does come out as a free update due to it being just two vehicles at this time unlike the Hot Wheels DLC which came out with a whole new location in the sky with Hot Wheels inspired tracks and even a build mode so that players can build their tracks.
To say the least, this is going to be a highly sought-after crossover for the Forza franchise and will bring in a lot of attention from both older and newer players, especially fans of Barbie who have always dreamt of driving around in her Hot-Pink Corvette whilst leaving racers in their rearview mirrors. Let us know whether or not you will be looking forward to this update in the comments!
