Keanu Reeves, one of the humblest actors on Earth, had a secret fascination for the game of Hockey. Although Reeves does not prefer personal questions, the actor appeared out of the blue on Reddit one day to reply to fans with some interesting stories about the actor.
In a Reddit thread, for the promotion of his then-latest film Man of Tai Chi, Reeves revealed that he was fascinated by the game of Hockey. Keanu Reeves reportedly played a game of street Hockey every weekend for 10 years and also made some friends along the way.

All the on-screen killings and revenging dogs aside, the John Wick actor is actually a pretty sweet guy to meet. During interviews and street meets, people have observed that Keanu Reeves is one of the most gentlemanly actors to exist out there.
The same was true for the actor online when he started a Reddit thread. During the promotion of Man of Tai Chi, the actor took personal questions from fans and tried to answer them the best way he could. An interesting question that popped up was asked by a Reddit user who asked Reeves to reveal an interesting fact about him that the people weren’t aware of.
The Speed actor recalled a story of playing the game of street Hockey that went on for 10 years every weekend. Keanu Reeves stated that he once saw a group of strangers at a nearby gas station who had Hockey equipment and asked them about it. And thus, Reeves played a game of street Hockey discretely for 10 years!
“For a long time in Los Angeles when I first moved there, when I was 20 years old, it was such a new world and so I saw some guys at a gas station once who had hockey equipment in their car, and I asked them what they were doing, and they said they were playing street hockey, so I asked them if I could play.”
The Matrix actor continued,
“So I became involved in a street hockey game that took place every weekend for over 10 years, every weekend, red versus black. We would take holidays off and sometimes summers, but the game was going on for over 10 years. That was cool to be a part of. It was a cool thing to have happen. Made some friends.”
This wasn’t all that he revealed since Keanu Reeves that every character that he has portrayed over the years has some part of the actual Keanu Reeves (like Horcruxes except for the killing).

In the Reddit thread, another question was asked by a Reddit user. The user asked Keanu that out of all the characters that he has portrayed over the years, which character felt like it was the most real Keanu Reeves-like? Here’s what the Constantine actor had for a reply.
“Mmmmm. When I think of a role, I start with my own life experience and who I am. And I get to meet this character. And I think we come to a third place, which is me and the character and transforming into this third entity to tell the story. So all of these characters have some DNA of mine, I share it with the character.”
Reeves seems to be having a good time since John Wick: Chapter 4 exceeded the previous benchmarks of the franchise and was praised by millions of people worldwide. With a score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.5/10 on IMDB, John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently screening in theaters across the world.
