Ben Barnes wants to Bring Some Changes to His Character in Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher
When Ben Barnes’ look for season 2 of Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher was revealed, fans were quite disappointed. In the comics, Billy Russo’s face is supposed to be quite literally marred to look like a jigsaw puzzle that was put together all wrong, hence the name. For the show, however, there only seemed to be barely any scar lines on Barnes’ face, only visible under close inspection. His character was supposed to look marred and terrifying but he just looked handsome as always.
Barnes talked about how if he got the opportunity to give this character a go again, he would like to do it right. He said that would very much like to change the look of Jigsaw to make it more comic-accurate, even if it means messing up his face quite a bit. He would like to reframe the character and see him in a new light.
