He has also received a number of acolytes, Including being nominated for a number of Academy Awards.
With Nolan’s films choosing a more indirect approach to showcase information rather than spoon-feeding it to the audience, it is only natural that sometimes films are left misunderstood or lost by their audience. This was especially true when it came to two films, Interstellar and Tenet. during a recent interview, the filmmaker was asked about this and how he feels about some people calling his films too complicated. Nolan’s answer was quite interesting.
Fans Did Not Understand Interstellar And Tenet
Christopher Nolan’s films have a reputation for being layered, intricate, and complex almost like puzzles. it is common to require multiple watches to understand his films trying to explain and often deal with complex philosophical and psychological concepts. they also require a great deal of attention and focus for the audience to fully understand the filmmaker’s vision and storytelling.
The films in question are Tenet and Interstellar. Both have been subjected to one of the biggest criticisms of Nolan’s films, the fact that they are quite difficult to understand for normal audiences. It can be said that the reason for this is their abstract nature. Many have also said that these films are too ambitious which makes their plot very confusing for people, not allowing the films to reach their potential.
Christopher Nolan’s Reply To This Criticism
Recently Christopher Nolan was asked what he felt about this criticism and if he worries when making a film that audiences will not be able to follow with the more complicated plots. One would expect filmmakers to worry a lot about whether or not audiences are able to understand what they’re trying to portray on screen, however, Nolan is not one of them as his answer is quite surprising according to Film Facts.

The filmmaker simply stated that he did not care about this. His films are crafted with a specific audience in mind, focusing on individuals who are to follow the science-fiction elements of his as well as his intricate storytelling.
