The Boys star Erin Moriarty is the latest victim of misogynist remarks. The star who is more popularly known for her portrayal of Starlight aka Annie January expressed her views on Instagram regarding these trolls. But it didn’t take her much time to have a wide range of people having her back. Most recently, the showrunner Eric Kripke has voiced his opinion on it. Eric Kripke went full merciless while he expressed his thoughts on Twitter.
Annie January aka Starlight is one of the pioneers of the series and one of the key commandants of the Boys’ fight against the supes. Now as fingers are been raised upon the character, starting from the showrunner to her on-screen rivals and friends everyone came to support her hard.

Erin Moriarty is subjected to misogynistic trolls
The whole fiasco started after Erin Moriarty reposted an article on her Instagram addressing all the misogynistic trolls and hate received by her while being on the show.
The actress wrote on her Instagram about how she felt terribly silenced and dehumanized by the treatment she received after all that blood and toil she invested. According to her, misogynistic trolling is what exactly this character stands against but adding more to that only multiplies the pain. Concluding her statement, she said that all of this only contributes to evolving her empathy muscle as she doesn’t hate the trolls but empathizes and forgives them.
Eric Kripke goes full rage mode to defend Erin Moriarty
The showrunner Eric Kripke reacted to the whole scenario very soon. He took to his Twitter Handle to voice his thoughts on the unfortunate incident.
Eric Kripke goes full merciless as he openly said that the show is exactly opposite from the hate it is getting. Secondly, he also addressed that this meaningless hate has a drastic effect on the actors and they don’t deserve any of it. In the end, Kripke finished his statement by saying that it is okay to not watch the show instead of giving unnecessary hate to the stars.

The others also stand for Erin Moriarty
Besides Eric Kripke, the other actors namely Antony Starr, Jack Quaid, Chace Crawford, and Karen Fukuhara also came to support the stars. The Homelander fame gets love from the fans as he came forward to support Erin Moriarty. His comment states:
“Support you and what you say here 100%. Well put 😉 Your work on the show is and always has been stellar and you are beautiful inside and out. Keep shining.”
Similarly, her on-screen lover Jack Quaid popular for the role of Hughie also got the back of the actress. His comment reads:
“Love you Erin. We’re all here for you. You’re such an incredible, talented force of nature and I consider myself incredibly lucky to know you. Keep shining bright. Leave the trolls to us. We got your back.”
Another co-star Karen Fukuhara kept it short and crisp to express her affection for the Starlight actress:
“There’s no room for hate on our show. You don’t deserve this and we’re here to support you ❤️ all love”
So it is evident that Erin Moriarty is not at all alone in these questions raised on the show mainly after the latest season. Even though the latest season turned out to be one of the best series of 2022, a certain section of the audience labeled it as “too woke”.
