Filled against violation of civil rights, Wahlberg was further accused of harassment. Following his misdemeanor, the actor later robbed a pharmacy and liquor store to engage in substance abuse. While escaping law enforcement, Mark Wahlberg assaulted a middle-aged Vietnamese man and was charged with attempted murder. Sentenced to two years in jail as a teenager, the actor faced extreme setbacks.
However, his life was meant to get back on the right track as Fr James Flavin appeared in his life as a savior. Rescuing him from further drug abuse and violence, the parish priest took him under his wing. He’d get in a courtroom and you’d think he was just the best 16-year-old walking the street, out there helping old ladies. He could con anybody” Father Flavin discussed.
