And with the craze for the series seeing no end in sight, Netflix has jumped in and decided to adapt the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew into a live-action original series. With more than a thousand anime episodes, a hundred manga volumes, and more than 25 years of sharing and adventure with the world, Eiichiro Oda has stopped at nothing to prove why One Piece is one of, if not the best fictional literary masterpiece in history. And continuing this legacy, streaming giant Netflix has announced the live-action adaptation of the series will be hitting the platform very soon, which has got the fandom excited. But with its release happening in the near future, the creator has pointed out things that fans can expect from the upcoming series.

With the release date approaching soon and the trailers for the live-action adaptation making headlines as well as dividing the public, the creator himself took to his official Twitter page and decide to outline what the production and execution process went behind the creation of the show. Along with praising and talking about the cast’s exceptional work, he also talked about how as the series is a live-action adaptation, there will be certain things that will be either added or omitted from the original manga series, and fans should be expecting these. He said:

“There was so much that went into it, After the launch, I’m sure I’ll hear about some people pointing out how this character is missing or some scene is omitted, or this bit is different from the manga. But I’m sure they’ll come from a place of love, so I intend to enjoy even those comments!”

Therefore, with this information provided by the legendary mangaka to the fans of his creation, he hopes that people get to enjoy the new series with understanding and the same passion.

Luffy, along with his faithful friends known as the Strawhat Pirates, set off on a journey to find the fabled treasure of One Piece in the upcoming live-action from Netflix. So far, it has been confirmed that the first season will conclude with the East Blue Saga from the manga and will have eight episodes in total.
