But a certain habit of Jada Pinkett Smith that influenced her son has now come under scrutiny. According to Jaden Smith’s own confession, his mother who was into psychedelic drugs quite early on in her life, inspired him to try them as well. While some fans found the idea to be a cool family ritual, others criticized Pinkett Smith for being a bad role model to her children.
Despite the backlash that the Madagascar star received for her parenting, Jaden Smith defended her actions by saying that these drugs helped him have a better rapport and understanding with his siblings including his half-brother Trey Smith. The Karate Kid star said that the substances allowed him to feel empathy and experience new and beautiful things in the world.

In a heartfelt discussion on her talk show Red Table Talk, actor Jada Pinkett Smith discussed the institution of marriage with her husband Will Smith, and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Jones. Confessing that she was never keen on getting married, Pinkett Smith spoke of the pressures of pregnancy that pushed her to take the plunge and the fears she faced as a young working pregnant woman.
“I was under so much pressure, being a young actress, being young and pregnant. I didn’t know what to do, but I just knew I never wanted to be married. I just never really agreed with the construct. I just don’t agree with it. I never have, I still don’t. Till death do us part is real for me. It’s just all of the rules and ideas.”
The Nutty Professor star who was pregnant with her son Jaden at the time of her marriage to Will Smith, recalled her wedding day to be a disastrous time with many tears and pressures leading up to the big moment. The experience for Smith, on the other hand, was completely different with the Aladdin actor confessing he had always dreamt of tying the knot and having kids.
