Enola Holmes starring Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, and Sam Claflin released on 23 September 2020, garnering a whopping 91% Rotten Tomatoes rating. The movie focusing on Sherlock Holmes’ young and genius sister quickly made a place in the hearts of the viewers. The female detective is all set to return to the screens with a sequel.
Just a few days prior to the release of Enola Holmes 2, Rotten Tomatoes has given the movie a score of 94%. This comes just a day after Henry Cavill called it quits on his role as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher. The character will now be played by Liam Hemsworth instead.
Henry Cavill Leaves The Witcher
Henry Cavill stated that even though his time on the sets of The Witcher was full of “monsters and adventures,” he would be bidding the show adieu. He stated that he is looking forward to seeing Liam Hemsworth’s take on the most “fascinating and nuanced of men.”
Even though the reason behind Cavill’s exit is not concrete, fans believe it must have something to do with the actor picking up Superman’s cape again. Cavill’s return to the DCU in Black Adam could mean that the actor is now occupied at the Warner Bros studios. It won’t be surprising if his exit from the immensely popular show is all because of his focus on Superman.
Another reason behind the Man of Steel actor leaving The Witcher might be that he wants to focus solely on adding more movies to his portfolio, rather than TV shows. It is rumored that Warner Bros. Discovery does not want Cavill acting in TV shows. If that’s true, the studios must steady themselves as fans of the actor are going to be quite furious. However, with even Cavill’s management considering him to be more of a big movie star, it is possible that the actor is saying goodbye to TV shows for good.
Whatever might be the reason, one thing that can be said for sure is that it is going to be pretty challenging for The Hunger Games actor to fill in Cavill’s shoes as he has already made fans used to seeing him as Geralt of Rivia. It’s interesting to see what Hemsworth does with the character.
