Emma Watson is a renowned British actress and activist, known for her roles in the Harry Potter film franchise. Watson played the role of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film franchise, which spanned eight movies from 2001 to 2011. Her character was one of the three main protagonists. Throughout the series, Hermione was known for her intelligence, her fierce loyalty to her friends, and her courage in the face of danger. Watson’s portrayal of the character was widely praised for its depth and nuance, and she became a role model for young girls around the world.
Despite the enormous success of the Harry Potter franchise, Watson has recently expressed reluctance to reprise her role as Hermione. Reports suggest that she, along with Daniel Radcliffe, is hesitant to work within the ninth installment of the franchise. The Little Women star in particular is skeptical about her return as Hermoine.
WB Is Reportedly Considering To Bring Back Harry Potter With Its Ninth Installment
The Harry Potter franchise is one of the most successful movie franchises of all time. The film series, based on the seven books by author J.K. Rowling, was a global phenomenon that captured the imaginations of audiences of all ages. The film series concluded with the eighth installment in the year 2011. But it seems like the makers wish to bring the wizarding franchise with its ninth installment which will focus on the Cursed Child saga. But as the original cast is reluctant to get together, the makers have also been pondering the reboot of the series, through the seven seasons with each season focusing on one book.
Emma Watson Is Unsure Of Harry Potter 9
Jeff Sneider made a surprising revelation in a podcast that claimed that the Regression star is most reluctant to come back for Harry Potter 9. Sneider subtly emphasized that Emma Watson is not comfortable working with Rowling because of her transphobic comments, as Watson is simply against it. He added that makers even tried to buy the J.K. Rowling franchise, but failed in it, thus they decided to move forward with the idea of rebooting the franchise.
“I heard that there had been talking of a Cursed Child movie. But there were problems, they didn’t want to work with J.K. Rowling for obvious reasons. Then it was particularly hard to get Emma and Dan back, particularly Emma. Emma is the toughest one to get back into this, particularly with everything that J.K. Rowling has said and stands for. So, it’s like they have been trying to buy J.K. Rowling out. She requested an insane amount, so they just figured it all right if we wanna go forward with these characters, which we do, then we’re stuck with her. It’s gonna be her, she is not going anywhere. Then we will reboot it you know because that’s what J.K. Rowling is willing to agree.”
Jeff Sneider continued and mentioned that makers are using the reboot idea to bring back the original cast as they will lose the famous tag of their respective characters. As the makers will be recruiting new faces to associate with the iconic wizarding characters.
“I’m told that they are serious about making the show although it’s also potentially being used as leverage to get Emman and Dan back. If you guys don’t come back then you know you are not Harry Potter anymore, we won’t run anybody else. It is easier said than done right?”
The Harry Potter franchise has been a cultural phenomenon for over two decades, and understandably, Warner Bros. would want to continue to capitalize on its success. However, it’s also important to consider the views and opinions of those involved in the franchise. As nothing has been officially confirmed by the makers, it remains to be seen whether Harry Potter 9 will ever come to fruition or if the franchise will continue through a full reboot.
