He has been a part of some major movies and franchises from The Fast and the Furious to the DC Universe. The actor has acted and made his name great. However, there was a time when he was only starting as an actor even though starring as the Scorpion King did bring him a lot of fame.

Dwayne Johnson Was Ready To Star In A Johnny Bravo Movie

Johnny Bravo’s rights had officially come to Warner Bros. Discovery. A live-action movie was set to be in the works for the animated series that aired on Cartoon Network. The movie was supposed to air after the success of The Powerpuff Girls: The Movie. The network had been testing the waters and was ready to make a movie of the character as well. The show ran for four seasons and revolved around a narcissistic man who lived with his mother and was always unable to attract women.

“When the Rock mentioned to [producer] Neal [Moritz] and myself that he was a big fan of Johnny Bravo and thought it was a great idea for a movie, we thought it was a natural fit and potentially a great role for him to play, so we went aggressively after the property.”

The actor who was potentially set to play the lead was none other than Dwayne Johnson himself. The actor was only starting in the Hollywood industry and this could have been the biggest role as well as the first lead role after he appeared as the Scorpion King.

Could Dwayne Johnson Still Play Johnny Bravo?

Johnny Bravo to date remains to be an iconic character and so is the series. It aired from 1997 to 2004. While the talks for the movie did start in 2002, it can never be too late to bring the character to the big screen.

However, due to the big shift in terms of what is appropriate and what is not, Bravo’s character can be criticized a lot. Dwayne Johnson may be able to pull off the character which his iconic hair being a wig for him and the actor taking up the character’s personality. Unfortunately, whether or not that could happen would be left to the audience’s hope.
