Dwayne Johnson's $800M Career Gets Ray of Hope - Kidnapping Lawsuit Dismissed by Court

Dwayne Johnson isn’t having a particularly good time in his professional career. The actor, with an $800 million net worth, was betting a lot on the success of his DC film Black Adam to carve out a niche for himself in the superhero franchise considered to be Marvel’s rival. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the smash hit he expected it to be. After that, he had to go back to the Fast and Furious franchise despite his public feud with Vin Diesel.

To make matters worse, XFL lost $60 million under his leadership in its very first season. These losses were compounded by the fact that the NBC series Young Rock was canceled as well. As such, The Rock isn’t having a great time. However, after a series of misfortunes, it looks like the universe has given him a break in a legal kidnapping case.

As per PW Insider, Laura Taylor Swain, the United States District Court Judge, dismissed Trenesha “Rhaka Khan” Biggers, former TNA and WWE developmental wrestler’s lawsuit against Dwayne Johnson and others. In her lawsuit, she had alleged that The Rock and a plethora of others, almost 1000 people, had tried to kidnap her and her children after her 2019 arrest in an attempt to keep her separate from them.

Trenesha Biggers was one of El Paso, Texas’ most wanted fugitives before getting arrested due to her multiple attempts to escape charges. Other defendants who were a part of the dismissed case included The New York Police Department, The Las Cruces (New Mexico) Police Department, the FBI, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Bank of America, Nikki Bella, basketball star Michael Jordan, and more.

Dwayne Johnson has caught a break but it might be too small. In his professional career, the latest project he did was a cameo in Fast X. Thankfully, later on, it was revealed that a new standalone film with his character of Luke Hobbs is in development. It will act as a bridge between Fast X and Fast X: Part 2.

Nothing more has been revealed about the film, but it’s clear that The Rock and Vin Diesel have somehow mended their professional relationship to move forward with this arrangement. It looks like a lot is riding on the success of this film because the failure of Black Adam hit Johnson hard.

However, this probably isn’t the only film that The Rock will be banking on. There’s speculation that he might be looking to finally make sequels to his previous hit movies like Rampage (2018) and San Andreas (2015). Also, he has his Teremana liquor business and the Jumanji films to fall back on. As such, Johnson’s fans can rest easy because their favorite star will not sink this easily or this soon.
