However, it looks like Zachary Levi did not get the memo as his recent tweets have been causing a bit of a controversy on the Internet. Since the topic in question is quite a vulnerable one with people having varying opinions about it, fans are worried about the fate of Zachary Levi and Shazam! 2. However, some are even pointing out the fact that the actor isn’t afraid of getting fired because of his good terms with the co-heads.

Zachary Levi has been on a vacation with one-half of the co-heads, Peter Safran, and he has vocally supported him and James Gunn when the two were in for some heavy criticism. Thanks to things like this, fans are convinced that Levi won’t be exiting the DC Universe anytime soon and that he is aware of the fact. Plus, Gunn has already confirmed that they will be “using some actors from the past.”

This belief comes after Levi found himself at the center of criticism for his tweets. When asked by a Twitter user if he agreed that the pharmaceutical company Pfizer was a “real danger to the world” Levi stated that he did. Levi didn’t necessarily mention Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine but fans were convinced that that’s what he was talking about and deemed him an anti-vaxxer.

After the backlash, he shared an article talking about the company paying $2.3 billion for fraudulent marketing. So while the fans are divided about the interpretation of the tweets, some are asking why would he take such a risk just before the release of his film as DCU desperately needs a hit. Fans believe that since Levi is on good terms with the co-heads, he is pretty confident that his role in the DCU is here to stay.

It looks like Levi has certainly started something on the Internet. Do you think this is going to affect the numbers that Shazam! Fury of the Gods was initially going to bring in? We’ll find out soon enough.

James Gunn Addresses Zachary Levi’s Tweets

During the presentation for the new DCU slate, a reporter asked Gunn, “Zach Levi, a couple of days ago, tweeted something about vaccines, got some people upset. Don’t know if you have a comment on that.”

Gunn was quick to respond and clarify the whole situation. He stated that there will be a lot of times when actors or filmmakers will share their opinions. Sometimes Gunn will agree with it, sometimes not. However, that won’t affect the ideas or plans he has for the DCU. Although, he did add that if the opinion is “morally reprehensible” he will have to take some actions.

“Actors, filmmakers I work with are going to say things that I agree with and things that I don’t agree with. That’s going to happen. I don’t have a list of things that somebody should say because of what I think. I can’t be changing my plans all the time because an actor says something that I don’t agree with. By the same token, if someone is doing something morally reprehensible, that’s a different story. We have to take that stuff into account. It’s a balance, it’s a modern world, it’s a different place.”

It looks like we can trust the co-heads to deal with things at the Studios when they get out of hand. For now, do you think Levi needs to clarify things on his part since Shazam 2 is just around the corner?

Shazam! Fury of the Gods will release on March 17.
