When it comes to online feuds, Hugh Jackman has endured its fair share of doses, thanks to his decade-long (pretend) feud with X-Men Origins: Wolverine costar Ryan Reynolds. And throughout their feud’s entirety, it has provided fans with hilarious moments one after another and one of them took place after Jackman poked another Marvel star, resulting in a hilarious 2v1 situation.
Back in 2018, a friendly internet feud broke out between three Marvel stars after Hugh Jackman shared an intimate photo with Emily Blunt, which Blunt’s husband John Krasinski didn’t take lightly.
Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski once ganged up on Hugh Jackman
The hilarious exchange between the Marvel stars began after Hugh Jackman shared a photo with the Edge of Tomorrow star after coming across Emily Blunt in Variety’s Actor on Actor. This resulted in a friendly feud, where John Krasinski and Ryan Reynolds ganged up on the X-Men star. Krasinski responded by stating,
The Office star then was joined by Jackman’s old frenemy Reynolds, who sided with Krasinski and stated,
However, this won’t be the end of it, as Hugh Jackman wasn’t going to let things slide and didn’t back away from taking friendly shots during his time at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
Hugh Jackman was no more Mister Nice Guy
Just like his Marvel counterpart, Hugh Jackman isn’t scared of challenges, but he explained it should be fair and square. Continuing the friendly feud, the actor did go on to take some shots at Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski, as he claimed his nice-guy image was over. This involved Jackman joking about the matter and claiming that he would’ve no hesitancy getting involved in a fistfight with Reynolds and Krasinski. But the actor stated that it should be with one of them at a time. He explained,
“You gotta stay on your toes, John. That’s all I’m saying. I’m fine to fight John, but he arrived this morning at my front door with Ryan. I’m like, ‘Come on, guys. One at a time. Not together. I’m really creating all these feuds. This mister nice guy image is over.”
Apart from all the (pretend) internet feuds they have been involved in to keep the fans entertained, Reynolds and Jackman remain pretty close friends to this date. The two have also never backed down from supporting each other in times of need and fans can’t wait to witness them reunite on the big screen in Deadpool 3.
Deadpool 3 will hit theatres on 3 May 2024.
