In a recent Instagram post shared by celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak fans went crazy to see Emma Stone spotting a classic blonde bob haircut, similar to Spider-Gwen’s look from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse.

Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy was probably the finest-ever casting in the whole of Marvel history. Her fresh and modern interpretation of the character made Stacy a more relatable and empowered figure rather than just being Spider-Man’s love interest. Stone made Gwen Stacy stand out and showed how confident and intelligent the character is.

Her heroism and nuanced portrayal of not being a damsel-in-distress leading lady is perhaps why fans love Emma Stone so much. So when the picture of her having a very Spider-Gwen look started making rounds, fans couldn’t handle it. Most commented on the Instagram post stating ‘don’t even think of playing with us’, while others commented how Gwen Stacy-esque her new hairdo is.

In light of the new rumor making rounds of Andrew Garfield returning as Spider-Man in Venom 3, fans couldn’t stop themselves from stating how wonderful it would be for her to reprise her role as an alternate version of Gwen.

Emma Stone May Return In Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse

The Spider-Verse franchise had Hailee Steinfeld as Spider-Gwen. While she certainly delivered a captivating performance, the producers of the blockbuster franchise have plans to introduce more variants of Gwen Stacy. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ended with Stacy at the forefront of it all, her role has since been expected to only get bigger.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller revealed that Gwen Stacy variants will an integral role in the last installment of the franchise with one of them being the most important. With the multiverse holding infinite possibilities there are chances that both Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard can reprise their roles as variants of the popular web-slinger.

Even though Emma Stone’s variant of Gwen Stacy died in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, her character could still reappear from a different timeline, making it one of the biggest canon events ever.

The Amazing Spider-Man franchise can be streamed on Disney+.
