“Do you know you are known for having horrible food?”: Matt Damon Seems Alone After Emily Blunt Joins Tom Holland in the War of British vs American Food

The age-old war between American and British food seems to never end, and Oppenheimer star Matt Damon feels alone and defeated after co-star Emily Blunt proved that her country’s dishes are better than Uncle Sam’s.

On the other hand, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland also believes that American food can be confusing for a British lad like him. They have different names for the same food, and he always ends up getting the wrong order.

Emily Blunt And Matt Damon Settle Argument On British Versus American Food

In a video interview with LADbible’s Agree to Disagree, Oppenheimer stars Matt Damon and Emily Blunt joined in the fun to debate whether British food is better than American food. Blunt strongly agreed while Damon went with the negative side. The actress reacted:

Wow! Have you ever had a lovely roast, a Sunday roast?

Damon immediately responded with his opinion on British food, and he did not go easy on it:

Do you know you’re known for having horrible food? It’s like a thing.”

Blunt revealed the American food she does not like, which is very typical and can be found in any fast-food chain in the US:

Do you know what I don’t like eating? Cheeseburgers and nuggets all the time. Everything fried. That’s all you have.”

Damon had to defend his country and mention that it is a “melting pot of all the other countries.” Blunt did not agree with this and immediately boasted the most-eaten food in England:

Do you not think London is? Do you not think we are? Do you know what the number one most-eaten food in England is? Would you like to know what it is? Would you agree to know what it is? It’s a chicken tikka masala. How cultural is that?

Damon did not even have the chance to say something after Blunt demanded the next question. Indeed, what can beat a cultural dish?

Tom Holland Is Tired Of Getting His Orders Wrong

Tom Holland appeared on UNILAD’s Get A Job episode and discussed American food. He was asked by the host if he thinks “English food being better than American” still holds and the actor threw the question back to the host and asked what he classifies as American food.

The interviewer responded with barbecue, hamburger, and French fries. Holland gave a deafening silence before proceeding. He was then asked if he calls it “fries or chips” now:

That’s a really interesting question because I say fries now because I’m tired of ordering a German burger with French fries and getting potato chips. It’s exhausting, it’s tough, so I say French fries.”

Emily Blunt and Tom Holland both agree that British food is better and more diverse as compared with American food. While Matt Damon seems alone in this opinion, he and Blunt still agreed in the end that they both like to order from McDonald’s once in a while.
