A couple of months back when James Gunn was appointed as the Co-CEO of DC Studios, fans were excited due to his success with Marvel Studios. The fans were thrilled when Gal Gadot made an appearance as Wonder Woman in Shazam! Fury of the Gods. But they also kept wondering if the Red Notice actress would reprise her superhero role in the future. While Affleck stated that the actress would be reprising her role in Ezra Miller’s The Flash, there were rumors which stated, she might not. Industry Insider Gives Update on Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman in The Flash

With the ticking of the clock, a final version of The Flash has to be submitted for release, and rumor has it that Gal Gadot will not be in the film. The Hollywood Reporter wrote that the film has removed all the scenes of the actress from the movie. This is because the movie is meant to serve as a lever that would reboot the DC franchise and start the projects led exclusively led by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

However, KC Walsh, a reliable industry insider tweeted that despite the rumors, the Justice League actress will be in Ezra Miller’s The Flash, along with a gif of Princess Diana of Themyscira.

This is not the first time KC Walsh has gone out of their way to report Gal Gadot’s presence in the upcoming DC project, this one just being the most recent. Moreover, Ben Affleck, who will be portraying his role of Batman for the last time in The Flash also said that his character was “saved by Wonder Woman.” Hence, it is assumed that the cameo was shot as part of the film, but this does not assure that the Fast Five actress would remain a part of the DCU.

Will Gal Gadot Reprise Her Role of Wonder Woman in James Gunn’s DCU?

Patty Jenkins’ idea for Wonder Woman 3 was canceled, and hiring James Gunn as Co-CEO of DC Studios made the situation worse, as both Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck were snatched of their superhero roles. While Henry Cavill made an announcement on his Instagram about him stepping down to play the character of Superman, Gal Gadot did not make any such announcements.

James Gunn

However, fans should not be worried because James Gunn has assured that he has not fired the actress and she will indeed be part of his DCU plans. However, The Suicide Squad director stated that they are currently working on the animated content for Wonder Woman, because looking at her popularity, there is not enough content on the character.

Moreover, fans can be assured that Gadot would reprise her role of Wonder Woman because her portrayal of the character breathed new life into the SnyderVerse, and skyrocketed the popularity of the character. Moreover, James Gunn stated that Paradise Lost TV Series will be focusing on the world of Amazonians, even if not exclusively on Wonder Woman, so it is possible to see the actress make an appearance in the series.
