From pulling legs to insulting each other about their insecurities, Nicole Kidman once publicly humiliated Tom Cruise very badly. With a height of 5’7″, the actor has been very insecure about his short stature. Well, the actor also had one more insecurity that seemed to be more important to the actor during his divorce from his ex-wife and it was his chipped tooth.
When Tom Cruise Had A Chipped Tooth
Tom Cruise always had a perfect pearly-white smile that seemed to be adorable to the people. Recalling a story about how his front tooth was chipped during high school in a game of hockey when a mid-air puck hit him in the face.
The actor never talked about his chipped tooth, however, but it was actually his co-star Patrick Swayze who talked about Tom Cruise’s insecurity and how the actor never posed for photographs in 2001 when Nicole Kidman was already embarrassing the actor in public.
In an interview with Stuff, Patrick Swayze revealed that Tom Cruise was so “self-conscious about his teeth” that he refused magazine photoshoots. And on top of that, the actor’s concerns were getting more hyper because of Nicole Kidman’s insults that added salt to his wounds.
Nicole Kidman Kept on Insulting Tom Cruise For His Height
Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise had been married from 1990 to 2001. The Moulin Rouge actress kept on insulting Tom Cruise for his insecurity. Fresh out of a divorce, Kidman once appeared in an interview to talk about Tom Cruise.
In an interview, when an interviewer asked Kidman about Tom Cruise, the actress remarked that “I can wear heels now”. This was a dig at Tom Cruise’s short stature of 5’7″ since maybe Kidman wasn’t allowed to wear heels when she would be walking alongside the actor. The insult became a tagline for many magazines and articles during 2001. After their divorce, Nicole Kidman married Keith Urban in 2006.
Tom Cruise was recently seen flirting with Shakira but according to sources close to the Colombian singer, she is apparently not interested in dating Tom Cruise.
