Hugh Jackman Tells How His ‘Feud’ with Ryan Reynolds Started

During an exclusive interview with The Daily Beast, The Greatest Showman actor stated their feud has been going on for so long that one would forget about its origin. However, Jackman stated that their feud began when they first met on the set of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, where the actor would poke fun at Ryan Reynolds. Hugh Jackman would constantly tease him telling Reynolds to be on his “best behavior,” but it escalated when the Red Notice actor called him out during the Deadpool thing.

“How did it start? It’s gone back so long now… God, this is a classic sign where your feud has gone too long, where you don’t even know why or how it started!”

“I used to ream him because I was very close friends with Scarlett [Johansson], and Scarlett had just married Ryan, so when he came on set I was like, ‘Hey, you better be on your best behavior here, pal, because I’m watching,’ and we started ribbing each other that way, and then it all escalated with the ‘Deadpool’ thing and him calling me out, and trying to manipulate me through social media to do what he wanted.”

Even though the actors have had an ongoing fake feud for years, fans have enjoyed it. Because, their feud is similar to an honest exchange between friends, and their exchange is light-hearted which they love. And fans could see more of their exchange in the third installment of Deadpool 3.
