DC’s Titans Star Brenton Thwaites Joining Robert Pattinson’s The Batman Part 2 to Fight Barry Keoghan’s Joker? Dick Grayson Update Leaves Fanbase Guessing

Brenton Thwaites is an actor known around the world for portraying the role of Dick Grayson in DC’s drama series Titans. Alongside this, the actor has also been known to portray several other characters in Hollywood but it seems that the actor might have a great opportunity at hand.

In a recent rumor, it seems that Robert Pattinson is back with a bang as he and director Matt Reeves join forces for The Batman Part II. And as the opportunity rises, there is a spot for the character of Dick Grayson in the plethora of Matt Reeves’ universe and Brenton Thwaites might just be in the right spot.

Every superhero has a sidekick (usually). Hailing from the dark depths of DC comics, Bruce Wayne aka Batman is no different. Being a loyal sidekick, Dick Grayson, who was initially known as Robin, was Batman’s crime-fighting partner in the DC comics and several of its adaptations.

The character, however, has not appeared in Zack Snyder’s universe nor on a large scale in recent times. With Robert Pattinson donning the cowl of Batman in the 2021 movie The Batman, fans are hoping that the upcoming sequel might introduce Robin when the movie releases. As per a Tweet, rumors abound on the internet that The Batman Part II will introduce the character of Dick Grayson, and who better to portray the role than the actor who has been portraying it in DC’s Titans!

As soon as the rumor was revealed, fans’ immediate choice was Brenton Thwaites who portrayed the character of Dick Grayson in DC’s Titans. 

In the end, these are still unconfirmed news and remain mere rumors and speculations that need verification. In another interview, Brenton Thwaites talked about how he wants his character of Nightwing to be a part of the DCU and from the looks of it, it’s all coming together.

In an interview with SFX back when James Gunn became the new co-head of DC Studios, Brenton Thwaites was asked whether he would be interested in a Nightwing movie. The actor revealed that he is quite hopeful for it but leaves the decision with Warner Bros. Discovery.

“I have thought about that. I would love to do that. It’s not up to me, it’s up to Warner Bros. Things at Warner Bros are changing quite drastically. Their next slate of films could be really exciting. We just have to wait and see. It would be a great honour to bring Nightwing to the big screen.”

The actor’s comments can be taken in a positive way that maybe director Matt Reeves might just allow the actor to portray the role of Dick Grayson/Robin or Nightwing in his upcoming magnum opus The Batman Part II. The film is currently set for a release date of 3rd October 2025 in the U.S.
