DC excites fans about a possible romance between Harley Quinn and Catwoman. Harley Quinn is one of the most popular LGBTQ+ characters in DC and in the world of comics. The fact that she and Poison Ivy, one of the most well-known LGBTQ+ relationships, ended up in a heartbreak disappointed a lot of fans.
Catwoman, on the other hand, has a path on her own. In 2015, she was revealed as bisexual. She has an unstable relationship with Batman, but in Catwoman #39, she is seen sharing tender moments with Eiko Hasigawa.
Is Harley Quinn Dating Catwoman?
Now that Harley is single again, DC has started planning a possible romance between her and Catwoman. Catwoman #43 shows that Selina goes out with Harley where they engaged in some roller derby game. Later that night, they returned home, and Selina invited Harley to sleep in her room. They had intimate moments, and Selina even confessed how good it felt to share a bed. Both of them are emotionally broken and they need that little comfort from each other.
Catwoman also showed attentiveness towards Harley’s gentleness as she drew closer to her. She also said that Harley “smells like cotton candy and girl sweat.”
Some Lovers Can’t Be Together
This hints at a fleeting romance, though, because Catwoman shows reservations about the idea of dating Harley Quinn. She revealed, “Both our hearts are elsewhere. And there’s a kind of bad that even we don’t want to be.” Clearly, she’s still in love with Bruce Wayne. The same goes for Harley as she has leftover feelings for Ivy.
Fans can only wait until DC decides to turn this fling into a full-fledged romance. Seeing two anti-heroes become honest and vulnerable towards each other is always a fresh concept. While a Harley Quinn and Catwoman relationship will not happen very soon, there will always be room for new LGBTQ+ relationships.
